The Simpsons at the ELC

The second meeting of the ELC took place on Monday 20th, 2004 in 112B. More than 50 persons were there to take part in the week's activity:
watching "The weed Homer", an episode of the Simpsons that lasted for 22min followed by a slides presentation. The presentation was a kind of review to the episode that included a summary of events, some vocabulary, expressions and funny quotations. The whole was extracted from the episode itself. By the end, a small game where some volunteer students had to show their acting skills was proposed. The meeting lasted for one hour.

The English Learners Club first students meeting

The meeting took place at 8:30 pm in CERILL and lasted for one hour. the objective of the meeting was to get in touch with the interested students in order to present the club and discuss its activities.
Together with Ms Moumen, around fifty students were present at the appointement.
First, We presented the club and highlighted its main objective which is to learn English through fun. Then a form was given to the students to fill in as to know their likes, hopes and expectations from the club, and to collect their suggestions. The space was open for the discussion which ended by fixing next week's activities.
