civil right movement

For the third time, the members of the ELC gathered for a presentation entitled ‘THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT IN THE USA IN THE 1950s & 60s’ presented by Mr. Diallo Mohamed, INE2.

The presentation initially scheduled for 8:00 p.m. and ended at 10:00 p.m. The room, once again, was crowded: around fifty students were present. The presentation was divided in five main parts:

- Projection of the cartoon ‘THE MAKING OF AMERICA’ realized by Mr Michael Moore.

- A quick presentation of the ‘CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT’ through its main leaders and events.

- Followed by the listening of the famous Dr Martin Luther King’s speech “I have a dream”.

- Then Multiple Choice Questions were asked to check members’ attention. Good answers were rewarded by candies.

- Finally, Mr. Diallo ended by a vocabulary point about ‘I have a dream’.
